Frugal E-mail System
The third year of my degree, like my second, required that I undertake another (larger) research project.
The choices available at the time really weren't that interesting and to be honest, I don't believe this to be the best of my work (I'm far more proud of my 2nd and 4th year projects).
To summarise this project, I was tasked with writing an e-mail server that stored and compressed e-mail - but would be fully interoperable with standard existing systems.
My time working on the project expanded my C capabilities a great deal (especially my ability to juggle strings) and by the end I had a basic SMTP server up and running.
Evaluating the system proved to be incredibly difficult however, as unsurprisingly due to privacy laws, it was quite difficult to get hold of substantial amounts of e-mail data to test with.
So to complete the set if anything, I present Frugal E-mail.
